Fine, I admit it!

[this is good]
We were just talking about BSG. I've never seen it (and had my own ideas about it being too Star Trek-y or something -- not that there is anything wrong with Star Trek) but I think susha is going to put in the viewing queue.

I have to admit that I love the American version of The Office despite my tendency to prefer all things British. I can't help but adore Steve Carrell -- if for nothing else but his history with The Daily Show.
i've never seen teh british version, but i have loved rainn wilson's utter kookiness since his turn as arthur in six feet under. plus, i truly believe that no one in the british version could be as thoroughly adorable as jim. the whole jim/pam arc consistently rips my heart out, but i keep coming back for more.
S and I have been sucked into BSG. We have both seasons on DVD but have yet to start season 2. For a space drama, it has it's own rhythm. Let it suck you in. It's amusing.
Yeah, I'm definitely liking the BSG, but it is my sworn duty to make fun of it for being set in space in spite of that. Heh.

And Mel--I am all about the Jim/Pam thing too--that's the main reason I fell in love with the US version. Martin Freeman ("Tim," the template for "Jim") is also quite adorable, I think.
