I believe in Dog.
I had to bring Little Eegs to school this afternoon, because I am (finally) getting my new dishwasher installed (long story) and the dog-hating maintenance guy (another long story) told me I had to "have the dog out of the house" while he was there. Pfooey. So I took him to the store and bought him a sweater and a bone, and he is now nervously sniffing the floor in my office, ignoring the bone, and licking dust bunnies off the floor. Schoolwork ahoy!
I hope you are all enjoying loads of food and drink and Bing Crosby, or whatever really shivers your holiday timbers!
Egon is feeling festive in his Winter garb. Subtly festive, anyway.
Normally, for today's VoxHunt (a picture of something jumping), I would submit an action shot of my dog -- I do love any chance to flood my blog with dog pictures! But, sadly, the dog is prohibited from running, jumping, and general roughhousing for the next few days, because he just got neutered. Since you all know by now what a fetch junkie he is, you can guess at how well this is going over. He brings me a ball (or a rope or his kong -- anything remotely throwable will do) and lays it at my feet, then sits back waiting for me to throw it. When I don't he whines and barks a little, then grabs the ball and scoots it closer to my feet, glaring at me pointedly. We have reached a tentative compromise wherein I place the ball a couple of feet away, and he brings it back: all the joys of repetetive Sisyphean action with none of the running and jumping.
