I finally get paid on Friday, and when I finally see that deposit reflected in my account, the resounding reply will be somewhere between a triumphant whoop and a sigh of relief. In addition to paying numerous bills, I plan to finally buy some bedroom furniture.
My futon has, until now, been living a mysterious double life: couch by day and bed by night, and it is feeling a little cranky and tired from all the over use. As a reward for its stoic service, I plan on buying a new mattress cover for it, once i finally figure out where to buy things like that around here.

As for the bedroom, Ikea, oh Ikea. I have my eye on this bed and night table, which actually connect together (please to imagine, reader).

I also need a dresser, but the ones that would "match" my bed and night
table look vaguely institutional, so I think I might go with this one instead. I like the translucent-looking drawer fronts, but I'm curious as to whether it looks like that in real life, and how big it really is.

I'm in the market for a coffee table too, and I love the look of this one, but the glass top makes me a little nervous. People, I am clumsy. So maybe something a little less likely disfigure me when I inevitably crash face-first into it while practicing my b-girl moves?

I would also like a chair for the living room, so that, you know, if I have more than one guest over we don't all have to sit in a row on the couchton (couch/futon) like birds on a telephone wire. Sadly, the ones I really like (big, squashy square armchairs) are out of my price range, so it might be one of these:

I think the Emmebo Rocking Chair looks pretty smoove, but they seem to only have it in that one blue color, which will NOT work in my house. Not that I have a color scheme going already, but I have one in mind and it is focused on the red pepper and the lime and that is that. So, I think, no rocking chair. (But, but, it's only $20...) And the Poäng -- doesn't, like, everybody have that chair? I just don't know. What do you guys think? I am kind of thinking the Klappsta, as long as it is comfortable. It looks like it is either really awesome, or really waiting-room furniture. So, the Skruvsta swivelly thing is also a possibility.
I have been poring over the Ikea website forever in anticipation of my first paycheck, and only today did I bother playing around with their "room inspiration" modules. I kind of love what they did with this bedroom -- it features the bed and night tables I want, so you can actually see them in action (this is a screenshot of their Flash-mabob, so pardon the extra traction there):
